Taking damage quickly ceases to become an issue once you get past level 200, and everything before 200 is pretty much a tutorial anyway, so it doesn't matter. Regarding a class to play, don't worry too much about survivability. Overall Reboot requires a higher time investment to yield similar results early, and grinding mules/new characters is much slower. In Reboot you spend A LOT of time to progress past that. Regular you'll spend either a lot of money or a ton of time to progress more. Beyond that it's honestly hard to progress in either server. In my opinion (opinion being the key word here) it's easier to progress into early mid game (Lotus/Damien) in regular servers, but easier to progress past that up to Will in reboot. There's a ton of pros and cons for both regular servers and reboot servers, but the main differences are the time investment and the progression curve. The game also promotes you playing a lot of jobs for legion, so you can always just level a bunch of characters and see what clicks.ĭepends on how long you want to play mainly. Has an easy skill rotation (kanna, adele) or a more involved combo-like character (blaster) If you want to play a job thats considered "bandwagon" or more niche, if you're okay with it being less powerful. Strong bosser vs strong mobber (or both), having high dps vs having high party support (or both.kanna) has a flash jump, not a teleport (or vice versa). Make a checklist of what you want out of a job and try to find a job that fits that descriptionĮg. You can skip some of the time investment required by spending real money, to some people this makes it p2w, to others with a full schedule its a nice convenience that you dont have to grind for 200 hours before doing mid game content. Progressing past the mid-late game is harder in reg servers because the gear required starts becoming ridic expensive, and you can't make it yourself unless you got some $$$$ Super easy to get to the early-mid game since you can just buy gear that gets you straight there You basically can't make your own gear unless you're willing to shell out real money, if you want to stay f2p then you need to grind out meso to buy gear from others off the auctionhouse Making alts for links/legion are slightly harder as you dont have access to tradeable gear from your mains.īera is the most populated as far as i'm aware, but it's nowhere near reboot's population The mid-late game is easier to access in reboot due to gear progression methods being free (meso grinding) The early game in reboot sucks MAJOR ASS. That should get you an equipment in every accessory slot to start out.Įverything has to be grinded yourself from 0, this makes reboot extremely time-investment heavy Commerci works well in the mid-game onwards when you start breaking pieces of the boss accessory set, but is expensive to upgrade and can be matched.įor earrings, I would just use the Dea Sidus earrings from Horntail. I think the Horntail pendants are a lot easier to get so I would target those first.įor face/eye, I would actually look to get a well-flamed set from Zakum before Commerci. If the event rings seem like too much work, you can get the Silver Blossom Ring (Horntail), Treasure Hunter John (do the first 3 quests in NLC and buy it from a shop), and Platinum Cross (Silent Crusade questline).įor pendants, you can get the Horntail/Chaos Horntail pendant or the Mechanator pendant from easy Arkarium. If you have patience, you could also try the Synergy ring, but you need to buy that on 4 other characters to make it worth it. I would look into buying the Chaos ring, Vengeful ring, and Cosmos ring. Hotel Maple has a jewelry shop where you can buy pretty good rings that give a lot of damage early on. Install RES for your browser and enable Night Mode in the settings.įor rings, you have two options depending on if there is a good event out. MapleStory Guides Join our Discord! | MapleStory Guides!
